A Note on HOW I GOT HERE
What started as a hobby — and a genuine love for food and travel — gradually turned into something much bigger. I realized I was always the person planning trips for friends and family, researching restaurants late into the night, building itineraries, and somehow finding the places that felt authentic long before we ever arrived. Over time, I learned how to spot the difference between tourist traps and truly memorable experiences through a mix of research, reviews, atmosphere, photography, and instinct.
That process eventually became the foundation for Phoenixx Pheasts: a space focused on thoughtful travel, meaningful food experiences, and places that feel connected to the culture and character of where you are. I’m especially drawn to destinations, restaurants, and experiences that are a little more intentional — places that are off the beaten path, deeply researched, and worth slowing down for.
My background in Army leadership unexpectedly shaped the way I approach travel planning as well. Managing people, logistics, timelines, and competing priorities taught me how to stay adaptable while keeping the overall experience running smoothly. Planning travel is surprisingly similar — just with more opinions, different budgets, and strong preferences about where to eat. Whether I’m organizing a solo trip, a group itinerary, or helping others discover new places, I genuinely enjoy the challenge of bringing together experiences that feel personal, balanced, and memorable.
As I continue developing Phoenixx Pheasts and work toward my travel agent certification, my goal is simple: to help people travel with more curiosity, eat more intentionally, and discover experiences that feel genuine rather than manufactured.
